S2-E162 Kate Moyer

Mike and returning cohost, actress Mia Bella had a great time chatting with actress Kate Moyer.

Kate Moyer is a Canadian actress who came to prominence when she was first cast in a supporting lead role in the Elevation Pictures feature film, Our House, playing opposite Thomas Mann, Nicola Peltz, and Percy Hynes White. For her performance in the role Moyer was honored with a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the 2019 Canadian Screen Awards, one of the top film acting awards in the country.

Moyer is best known for her work as "Heather Hobbie" in Holly Hobbie for Hulu, a role that earned her second Canadian Screen Award nomination in 2020. Audiences lauded her heart wrenching performance in the season 3 finale of the award-winning The Handmaid's Tale for Hulu where Moyer played directly opposite Emmy Award winning Elisabeth Moss. Moyer can be seen recurring heavily in Hallmark's spin-off series When Hope Calls, the fan favorite series Station Eleven by acclaimed director Hiro Murai for HBO Max, as well as the anthology series Circuit Breakers for AppleTV+.

Other select credits include a supporting lead role opposite Caroline Rhea in the TV movie A Christmas In Tennessee for Lifetime, the indie feature Buffaloed by director Tanya Wexler with Zoey Deutch, the short film Dotage opposite Dani Kind, a supporting role opposite Marisa Tomei and Travis Fimmel in the feature film Delia's Gone, and the lead of the cult classic remake of Stephen King's Children Of The Corn, directed by Kurt Wimmer, released on Shudder in 2023. Kate recently wrapped the Disney+ feature Out Of My Mind by director Amber Sealey, and is in a recurring role on Reacher for Prime Video, part of the popular Jack Reacher franchise.

Moyer began performing at the age of three as a dancer with the Theatre Dance Academy in Oshawa, Ontario. She joined their competition team at four years old and focused on Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Hip Hop. Her competition team has won numerous awards at many dance competitions throughout Ontario. However, she was first bit by the acting bug when working on regional theatre productions.

In her downtime, Moyer can be found in a dojang practicing Taekwondo as she is currently a 1st Dan Black Belt or behind the easel painting or sketching.

When Ellie Rose is not on stage, she shares her talents as a National Anthem Vocalist for the NFL Denver Broncos and the NHL Florida Panthers.

Some of Liv’s more notable productions have been as 'Alice Creel' in 'Stranger Things Season 4,' 'Sarah Stafford' in 'Redeeming Love,' Alice Watkins' in 'Far Haven' and this summer you can catch her as 'Anna Watson' in 'Shadrach' - a Sony Pictures TV show. With each role comes new experiences, which provides Livi tools to hone her craft.

Livi Birch has licensed three songs to three projects and enjoys writing songs on guitar, ukulele and keyboard. When not acting or practicing her music she loves reading, checking out local record shops, hanging with family and friends and enjoys her two Siberians cats who are very fluffy!

Julia Roome is an American Songwriter and Singer who can currently be seen on 'Team Niall Horan' on NBC's 'The Voice'. Based in Warwick, New York, Julia released her first original single 'Steel Glass' when she was 10, and then climbed her way up to number 9 on the iTunes Charts with her first original EP 'I’m Gunna' at age 11.

With musical notoriety comes opportunities. She starred in a commercial for
Billie Joe Armstrong’s Signature Les Paul guitar and appeared in Nita Strauss’s ‘Victorious’ music video. During an interview with Mario Lopez on Access Daily, rock legend Sammy Hagar invited Charlotte or perform

Mike and co-host, legendary bassust Leland Sklar were thrilled and honored to feature Bella Rayne! She is a self-taught guitar wiz at jus t 16 who is quickly making a name for herself in the music industry.

Her story begins in the early days of the Covid quarantine. While poking around the family garage, Bella happened upon her mother’s Fender Strat. With no really intention of playing it, she cleaned it up and started playing. Music became Bella’s go to and from there, she blossomed as a musician and taught herself to play.

Her taste in early 70's psychedelic rock and 90s grunge-era music paired with her collection of vintage guitars makes her a standout in live performances and on social media. She’s already joined the stage with heavy hitters and has even picked up endorsements from several renowned companies.

Bella Rayne lives in a small, coastal town in Northern California where she performs locally, and has been extremely motivated in the studio where she has been working on originals as well. When she’s not busy recording or performing, Bella is an “A+” student and gifted visual artist who volunteers with children's after-school programs at her local community center and even teaches music camps to young children. In addition to continuing with her musical career, her ambitions include attending Berklee College of Music focusing on Guitar Performance and Music Therapy.

Bella has the confidence, poise, and talent of someone far beyond her 16 years and her trademark style and fashion is making waves on social media.

Award-Winning actress Violet Tinnirello (www.violettinnirello) joined Mike and cohost, actress Daire McLeod on ConversationsRadio Ep.143.

Violet is 'Charlie' one of the cast members on Sesame Street - airing on HBO MAX.

As a lifelong fan of all Jim Henson’s work, it was a dream come true when Violet
was cast to play the first child cast member on Sesame Street in nearly 20
years. The 2022 Young Entertainer Award (Best Actress in a recurring role -TV)
was given to Violet for her work on Sesame Street.

She began her performance career at the age of four and has appeared in
many commercials including Lunchables, Red Lobster, Stop & Shop, Holiday
Inn, Nickelodeon, Lego, NBC's America's Got Talent and HAPPY! - the book
and videos by Pharrell Williams. She voices the characters "Cappie" on Nick
Jr's Wallykazam and "Penny" in the Nickelodeon short, The Thing About
Babies. Violet has appeared in short films including A Force for Good, which is
about the universal power of compassion. She appears on Cyberchase on
PBS as Alex and has been seen on Saturday Night Live multiple times (with
Kristin Stewart, John Mullaney, Saoirse Ronan and more).

Violet loves to perform on the live stage. Throughout the Broadway labs,
workshops, and even the run at the iconic Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn,
New Jersey, Violet spent over two years working on Chasing Rainbows: The
Road to Oz. She loved playing the role of Shirley Temple and showcasing her
tap-dancing skills - her favorite dance style. She also sang and danced in the
cabaret style shows both at The Laurie Beechman Theater and Stage 72 at
The Triad. In a tribute to Broadway’s return, Violet joined a cast of Broadway
kids in “We’re Gonna Come Back”, directed by Janine Molinari.

In the spring of 2020, Violet was cast in a new made-for-TV-movie by Almost
Never Films, directed by Danny Roth. Violet and the company traveled to
Oklahoma where A Country Romance became the first live action production
to film in North America since the pandemic halted production. Violet also
appeared as Charlie in “The Power of We: A Sesame Street Special” released
on PBS and HBO Max in 2020. Violet can be seen in the upcoming season of
"What We Do in the Shadows" on Hulu and FX.

Kylee Levien to ConversationsRadio. Both Kylee and Georgia star in the soon to be released film ‘Roswell Delirium' - written and directed by Richard Bakewell.

Kylee Levien discovered her passion for acting early on and is known for her most recent starring role in Roswell Delirium alongside Dee Wallace, Anthony Michael Hall, Reginald VelJohnson, Sam J. Jones and Lisa Whelchel, directed by
Richard Bakewell. In this film, Kylee sends signals to space trying to connect with her father, Ryan Kennedy, but finds herself rather ill from radiation poisoning.

Kylee also stars alongside ConversationsRadio Alumni Kayden Torkarski, Georgia MacPhail and Romyn Smith.

Kylee just wrapped Rebel Moon directed by Zack Snyder as Princess Issa's photo double. She also starred in the Lifetime television movie Her Secret Family Killer directed by Lisa France, and starred in the television series

(4/18/2023) Mike and co-host, actress/filmmaker Sofia Rosinsky welcomed actress Keeley Karsten to ConversationsRadioEp.141. Keeley Karsten can be seen starring as Natalie Fabelman in Steven Spielberg's highly anticipated film ‘The Fabelmans’,
co-written by Tony Kushner. The movie premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival where it won the top prize of People's Choice Award.

Keeley recently completed production on the upcoming title 'Entanglement', as well as the short film On Being Twelve, for which she received the accolade of Best Young Actress at the Snow Leopard International Film Festival. Karsten also won Best Child Actress at the Sydney Indie Short Festival. Her television credits include Amazon's 'Hunters', alongside Al Pacino, and a starring role as the young Pam Sinclair in the documentary series 'Evil Lives Here'. She has also written and starred in the short film Viceroy, released in 2020.

Actress Madeleine McGraw is best known for her role as ‘Gwen’ starring opposite Ethan Hawke and Mason Thames in The Black Phone.  She also stars as ‘Zoey Campbell’ in Disney's, ‘Secrets of Sulphur Springs.’

Madeleine has also found success in voiceover. She’s the voice of ‘Maddy McGear’ in the Disney Pixar’s animated feature Cars 3 and the voice behind the ‘Bonnie Anderson’ in ‘Toy Story 4.’

Madison has received high praise for her portrayal of young ‘Young Selena Quintanilla’ in Netflix’s ‘Selena:  The Series’ as well as for being the only cast member to use her powerful and soulful vocals in the Netflix series. She inspires many with her devotion to passing on postive vibes and with her charity 'Daire To Read' her mission is to make sure that kids get books in their hands to read - even if they can't afford them.

Romyn Smith became an on-screen actor at 7 years old when he landed the role of 'Young Nando' in the movie "Yes Day" with Jennifer Garner.

Romyn, Kayden and Georgia have appeared in episodes of the 'Dharr Mann' TV series. You can catch them in 'Rosewell Delirum' - coming in July 2023

Originally from Memphis, TN, Lily calls Southern California her home. She has been performing since shewas 4 - getting her feet wet in local theatre productions.

Lily Brooks O'Briant has appeared in numerous projects for film and TV! She's well known for her role as ‘Mandy’ on Netflix’s ‘The Big Show Show' and appeared as 'Young Dot' on The Tick.

She has appeared in a number of short films – including the lead role in ‘Marina’ - The story of a young girl who inherits Spinal Muscular Atrophy from her mom. Lily received multiple nominations and wins for her portrayal in the film.

​Since she was four, Lily Brooks has been supporting  St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. As a Youth Ambassador, Lily and ‘Team Young Hollywood’ - a group of fellow actors and singers has raised close to $50,000 for St. Jude
in the past two years.

What an amazing opportunity to be a part of such an iconic series even though she had to shave her head.

At just 10, actress Hendrix Yancey has booked the role of a lifetime. She hails from
 Hot Springs, Arkansas. She signed with her first agent at 5 and was quickly cast in episodes of the TV mini-series ‘Versus’ for AwesomenessTV. Hendrix was off and running! This young Arkansas native went on to book roles consistently. Best recognized for her recurring role as ‘Daisy’ on the Netflix limited series ‘Unbelievable,’ she also stars as ‘Angelina’ in the Amazon Prime romance drama, ‘Charming The Hearts of Men.
