Conversations S2-E74 Gabriella Graves

7/15/2020, actress Gabriella Graves joined Mike and cohost, actress
Abby Donnelly on episode 74. Well known for her recurring role as ‘Delaware’ on Disney’s Coop and Cami Ask the World, Gabi Graves has appeared on Agent Carter, Alex Inc and a guest star role as a young Krill girl on Fox’s The Orville.

Gabriella has also built a strong voiceover resume' and can be heard as the voice of twins ‘Mary Pay’ and ‘Bianca’ on the hit Netflix animated show Spirit Riding Free as well as ‘Wren’- the loud mouth boss, on Amazon's Costume Quest and has lent her voice talents to Disney Jr’s Sofia the First
for the roles of  ‘Flurry and ‘young Cordelia.’

Gabi will soon be heard in the lead role as ‘Sweetie’ on Disney Jr’s The Chicken Squad.

When she's not working, Gabi creates YouTube videos she loves sing, plays piano, ukulele and guitar.  Gabi studies Tae kwon Do and is an avid book lover!
She is also a Junior Ambassador for Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and volunteers with the ‘Looking Ahead’ program through SAG-AFTRA.

Gabi and her family have a non-profit called 'I Am Courageous' ( www.iamcourageous.net) where they create uplifting music for seriously ill children.

Her motto she uses to encourage all she comes in contact with is: "Dream Big, Be Kind, Love Always."

Conversations S2-E73 Ben Milliken

6/24/2020, Mike and cohost, actor Joey Vieira welcomed actor Ben Milliken to episode 73 Born in Manchester, England, Ben was raised in Bilgola Beach located on Sydney's Northern Beaches. Ben was an amateur boxer for 10 years before pursuing a career in film and television. He spent three years studying at the leading film and television training school in Australia - On Camera Studio - under the direction of Sandra Lee Paterson.

Soon after, He began landing roles on television, numerous short films and theatre. Ben starred in the independent feature film, 'Newcastle' - which made its World premiere at the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival.
Ben, made the move to Los Angeles where he quickly began landing roles in multiple film and television projects including the film 'Blue Crush 2' and most recently he booked the role of Carter on season 5 of Amazon's hit series "Bosch".

Coming July 7, 2020 to Amazon and AppleTV, look for Ben Milliken in the new film, 'Mighty Oak' starring as Darby opposite Janel Parrish,Carlos PenaVega and Alexa PenaVega!

Conversations S2-E72 Symera Jackson

6/10/2020, Mike and cohost - actor Travis Burnett chatted with actress Symera Jackson on ConversationsRadio episode 72!

Symera Jackson stars in the Netflix comedy series “Team Kaylie.” She has booked numerous commercials and has worked alongside legendary names, such as Kristen Bell (Thrive Market), Wayne Brady (Plenti Rewards Card) and Jim Parsons (Intel). She soon booked a guest role on ABC’s “Alex Inc.” and went on to guest star as ‘Robyn’ on Disney’s “Sydney to the Max,” before securing the series regular role of ‘Jackie’ on “Team Kaylie.”  - now streaming on Netflix. Symera got her start in theatre and has not slowed down since. At 11 and 12 years old, she starred in regional productions of “The Wizard of Oz” and “Bye Bye Birdie.”

Symera can be seen in the Sandy Hook Promise PSA, “Back-to-School Essentials.” In the ad’s final scene, Jackson is featured in the harrowing image of the girl huddled in a bathroom stall texting her mom “I love you” as she hides from a gunman. Jackson hopes this shocking PSA will continue to spread awareness for anti-violence in schools. Jackson hopes to use her growing platform to voice her concerns about marine life and the state of our oceans. She joined Heal the Bay’s Coastal Cleanup Day, where volunteers participate in cleaning up the beaches and coastlines from litter that could harm marine life. Symera wants to continue to be a positive voice to encourage others to help take care of the ocean and the animals that live there.

Symera and Travis know each other and have worked together on TV and Stage.

Conversations S2-E71 Logan Allen

5/27/2020, Mike and returning cohost – actress Simone Lockhart chatted with actor Logan Allen on ConversationsRadio episode 71. Logan stars as Kyle Townsend on the new romance based series ‘Sweet Magnolias’ – #1 on Netflix.

Logan was born and raised in Florida. From a young age, he had is sights on becoming an actor. Starring in numerous commercials, Logan has appeared in a number of short films and soon became a series regular on Nickelodeon's Talia in the Kitchen. He went on to star as Kevin opposite Patrick Muldoon and Kevin Sorbo in the movie ‘Bernie the Dolphin’ and appeared in and episode of the tv series ‘Creepshow.’

 

Logan has established himself as a working actor and is thrilled and blessed to have been cast on a Netflix show. A dream come true for him. Our cohost, actress Simone Lockhart also stars opposite Logan in the recurring role of Nellie Lewis on episodes of Sweet Magnolias.

Known for his role as Bill Buchanan on the Fox tv series ‘24’ and roles on ‘Twin Peaks’ ‘Revenge’ ‘Hawthorne’ ‘Major Crimes’ ‘Those Who Kill’ and more – his television and film resume’ is impressive to say the least. His stage work has earned him multiple nods! He is the recipient of the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Performance and three Drama-Logue Awards.

James Morrison resides in Southern California - just north of Los Angeles but has worked everywhere. From his early show business work as a clown and wire walker to his many roles on film and stage, he has learned how important it is to respect the craft that is acting. In the middle of the Covid 19, we talked about the effects that this pandemic is having on Hollywood and show business as a whole. 2/26/2020 – Mike and musician Trinity Rose welcomed actress 
Alyssa de Boisblanc to episode 67. Alyssa is well known for her role as ‘Christina’ on the ABC sitcom Modern Family,

Signed by her first agency at just 3 years old, Alyssa got her start booking modeling campaigns and national commercials. In 2010, Alyssa booked Flying Lessons -  her first feature film opposite Nikki Deloach, Hal Holbrook and Maggie Grace. She has gone on to book consistently. Her TV credits are many and include Disney's Special Agent Oso, Three Healthy Steps, Alien Encounters and Jimmy Kimmel Live. She has found much success as a voiceover artist and can be heard in numerous roles for commercials and television and can be heard as ‘Word Wally Kid’ on Jim Henson series Word Party streaming on Netflix.

We had a blast talking about ghost encounters on the Queen Mary as well as her entertaining videos on Youtube. Alyssa will be releasing new music soon. Stay Tuned!

'American Housewife' - Nikki has worked with the best of the best - sharing the spotlight with A-listers Tom Hanks, Ron Howard, Geoffrey Rush, Jessica Lange, Lilly Rabe and more

Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Nikki Hahn came to Los Angeles at when she was two. She found success early in print modeling and soon became a working actress booking national ad campaigns for major brands.

As a singer and musician, Nikki has been showcasing her music at venues across Southern California. Tyson Hahn is Nikki's mentor and encourages her on her music journey and often called upon to play backup guitar for her. Tyson began studying guitar, music theory and composition in college. He received his Bachelors of Music from UTSA. He has won multiple guitar competitions and played showcases as a classical guitarist in Texas and Mexico. He has also composed and arranged instrumental music for independent films, live theater pieces, bands, and chamber ensembles.

1/8/20, Mike and cohost, actor Hunter Payton welcomed actress Ava Kolker to ConversationsRadio for Ep.62!

Ava stars as Olive on Disney’s ‘Sydney to the Max’ and can be seen as Ava in Disney’s ‘Girl Meets World.’

Ava's first tv role happened in 2011 when at just four years old she appeared on ‘American Horror Story’ and from there, she was off and running. Kolker went on to book roles on  ‘Sam & Cat ‘‘Black-ish’, ‘Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D.’ and many more. You can catch her as Lily in ‘Scary Movie 5’ and she's Young Elise in the horror movie,
‘Insidious: the Last key.’

Ava has been nominated for both the 2016 Young Artist Awards and the Young Entertainer Awards. She won ‘Best Actress in the Guest Star category aged 9 and under’ at the Young Entertainer Awards for her amazingly comedic and dramatic efforts in Disney's ‘Girl Meets World’.

Conversations S2-E60 Leland Sklar

11/27/19, Mike and Stephen K. Peeples welcomed legendary bass guitarist Leland Sklar to Ep.60! With more than 2000 albums to his credit, I can honestly say that somewhere in the world right now, there is a Leland Sklar bass line playing on one of the 25,000 songs he has lent his talents to. A native of Milwaukee, Leland and his family headed West to Southern California early on.  He began piano lessons when he was 4 years old and quickly became a prodigy. By junior high, he had all of the intentions of pursuing the piano further. However, his music teacher suggested that he have a go on the string bass because the school was overstocked with fine pianists. Leland grabbed the string instrument and held it close. It just felt right and at that moment Leland Sklar’s trajectory changed. 

He continued his studies at California State University Northridge and soon met James Taylor! Again, a life changing moment. Sklar often credits Taylor for keeping him interested and considers it his big break. Suddenly, Leland Sklar was in demand and found success as a session bassist. It’s much easier to ask who Leland Sklar has not played with. Leland just wrapped a U.S. tour with Phil Collins and can be heard on hit songs from Jackson Browne, James Taylor, Warren Zevon, TOTO, Linda Ronstadt, Helen Reddy, Hall & Oates and more. He has also been called on by tv and film music directors to bring his session skills to a number of productions.

This episode's cohost is journalist and Grammy-nominated producer Stephen K. Peeples. A forward-thinking media veteran whose reporting, writing, editing and production skills and experience extend from print to records, and from radio and TV to the web. An award-winning radio producer/writer, award-winning website editor, Stephen is a well-known news and entertainment journalist, photographer and TV host in the Santa Clarita Valley, in the northwest corner of Los Angeles County, Calif., half an hour from media centers in Hollywood, Burbank, Beverly Hills, West Los Angeles and Santa Monica.

Conversations S2-E58 Tony D. Head

10/16/19 - Award nominated actor Tony D. Head joined Mike and cohost, actor Joey Vieira for episode 58 on ConversationsRadio. Tony returned to NYC in 2014 after being away from the business for over 20 years. Tony left the business to help take care of his special needs daughter. He took parts now and then while working a full time job all the time devoting his efforts to finding a safe environment for his daughter.

In 2013, Tony and his Ex accomplished that and it allowed him to give acting another try after a long hiatus. Since then, he was featured in the critically acclaimed off Broadway production of "Hounds of War" at the Abingdon theatre. In April 2017, he was nominated 'Best Guest Actor' for the award winning drama 'Pride: The Series' (2014) by The Indie Series Awards. Tony played Major Bobby Reed in the HBO hit series 'The Wire' (2002), and has appeared in HBO's 'The Corner' (2000), 'Veep' (2012), and numerous other prime time shows including more recently HBO's 'The Deuce' in a recurring role, CBS's 'Madam Secretary' (2014). In 2019, he will be appearing in 'Asunder the Series' (2019) playing Austin Blair, the head of a powerful cosmetic company, the feature film 'Strive' (2019) starring Danny Glover, and the new web series 'Bronx SIU' (2018) nominated for 3 daytime Emmys in 2019. Tony just wrapped 'Lazy Susan' (2020) , starring Sean Hayes, Allison Janney and Matthew Broderick.

Tony currently appears as the WGC Anchorman in ‘JOKER’ with Joaquin Phoenix.

9/18/19, actress Ellee Jo Trowbridge joined Mike and cohost, actress/recording artist Erin Reese. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Ellee has been seen on CBS, ABC, Nickelodeon, Disney and more. One of her first film roles was that of ‘Emma’ appearing opposite Jennie Garth in the movie ‘A Christmas Wedding Tail.’ She has booked numerous commercials and has performed in theatre too. You may have seen her as ‘Winter’ on Nickelodeon’s 'School of Rock' and has appeared on Nickelodeon’s 'Sam & Cat,' ABC’s 'Speechless, 'Raven’s Home' on Disney, 'Life in Pieces' (CBS) and more. Conversations S2-E55 Sarah Withers

9/11/19, Actress Sarah Withers spent over an hour on episode 55 with Mike and cohost, returning guest, actor Joey Vieira (Dora and the Lost City of Gold, Reef Break) and we barely scraped the surface. Sarah hails from Santa Rosa, California and is based in Los Angeles. It was a production of ‘A Christmas Carol’ at San Francisco’s American Conservatory Theater along with her admiration for Hilary Duff (Lizzie McGuire) that set her current path for success. Sarah Earned a BA degree at USC and from there she was off and running. Sarah currently stars alongside Mickey Rourke as ‘Samantha’ - a homecoming queen being chased in the woods by a welder in the horror anthology
'Nightmare Cinema.' She can also be seen in the recurring role of Heather in 'Play by Play' on Go90. During our chat on the ConversationsRadio virtual sofa, we learned as well that meditation is a powerful tool for a scream queen to master when you discover that your Uber driver is totally lost.

8/21/19 - We really enjoyed having actress Erin Reese with us on ConversationsRadio. Erin joined Mike and returning cohost, actress Abby Donnelly LIVE for episode 54.

A Florida native Erin Reese was discovered at an early age by Ford Models. Since day one, Erin has always felt at ease in front of the camera. You may know her from the ‘Brat Network series and movie ‘Chicken Girls’ and her roles in both Dolly Parton made for tv movies ‘Coat of Many Colors’ and 'Christmas of Many Colors:  Circle of Love’ Erin has appeared in numerous commercials and magazines as well.

Erin Reese has been working with one of LA's best vocal coaches - producer, composer and singer Griffith Frank and has worked with music producers in Los Angeles recording cover songs, as well as, original songs. Her single
‘Little Miss Hollywood’ and her most recent single ‘I’m Good’ are amazing and in some ways, her life soundtrack, telling a story of her journey. So far, Erin’s journey has brought her many successes. 8/7/19, actor Joey Vieira joined Mike and cohost – voice actor Jason Lewis on Conversations Radio Ep. 52. We talked about his early beginnings – growing up in Northern California and finding his way as an actor. From football to ballet to college, Joey got his feet wet in many areas of the business and is 20 years in to a thriving acting career with roles in San Andreas, Strong Medicine, The Shield, Texas Rising and a voice gig on an episode of The Simpson. 7/24/19 Mike and cohost, actor Hunter Payton welcomed actress and recording artist Ruby Jay (www.RubyJay.com) to episode 51! Born and raised in Southern California, Ruby's early beginnings are rooted in theatre. Her transition to film and TV began at around five, building her resume with credits that include: Hulu's Holly Hobbie, Grey’s Anatomy, Modern Family, and What They Got Right series on DreamWorksTV channel on YouTube. She can also be heard in Disney’s Animation series, Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure.

Ruby recently scored a role in the highly anticipated CBS series, The Unicorn. Coming this fall.

7/17/19 Actor Hunter Payton joined Mike and cohosts Gabe Eggerling and Isabella Blake Thomas for our 50th podcast episode on ConversationsRadio. This was a blast! Isabella told us all about her boat and we also discovered that Gabe may have an interest in learning to play the accordion. As for Hunter, he is a true standout in the arts community. As an actor, he is known for his many roles on tv and film. From his recurring role on the NBC TV Series A to Z to his challenging role as Young Doug, a child with muscular dystrophy in Who's Driving Doug, Hunter give it is all and embraces each project he works in. In 2017, Hunter - who learned Sign Language booked the lead role as Michael - son of a deaf father in the film short Father's Day Breakfast. Next up, catch Hunter as Ryder in the film A Genie's Tail and he can be seen in an upcoming episode on Disney's Raven's Home.

Analesa career in television and film began in Portland, Oregon - appearing in a number of commercials short films and musical theater productions.  She now in LA and blazing a trail! She is a working actress! She landed the recurring role of ‘Anna’ on the Brat series ‘Total Eclipse’ just a few weeks after arriving. In addition to her role on ‘Pretty Little Liars:  The Perfectionists,’  Analesa Fisher will soon be seen on Discovery Channel’s ‘Wonderland Murders’

Besides being proficient in American Sign Language, Analesa is quite the unicyclist and a confessed shark enthusiast. She also wrote a cookbook!

Trinity performed as the youngest female contestant on season 12 of NBC's The Voice a few years ago. An actress, accomplished musician and songwriter, Trinity found her lane and went on to complete GRAMMY CAMP - a prestigious program with alumni including Maren Morris and Billie Eilish. She has performed at packed venues like The Hotel Cafe, Whisky a Go-Go and more. She's currently collaborating with multi-platinum songwriter Heather Holley, renowned for her work with Christina Aguilera.

Her most recent EP 'Miss You' is a collaboration with actor/musician Aiden Gallagher known for his role as 'Number Five' on the Netflix Original Series 'The Umbrella Academy'

A native of Texas, Gracie was first discovered when she played the lead role in the indie film "The Things Between Us" at just 4 years-old. Gracie has gone on to appear in commercials, tv shows and movies. Whitton is best known for her role as Kathy in “Scary Movie 5” directed by Malcom Lee and David Zucker and can be seen as Emma in “The Lotus”. She is widely known in Dallas as well for her roles in the “Forces of Horror” Anthology films.

Gracie has a wide variety of characters she portrays from a demonic child, zombie, vampire, a heroine and now a witch in her most recent “The Witches of the Watch” which is currently running in a few festivals.

A native of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania,  Savannah decided early on that she wanted to be in movies. At the suggestion of her agent, she moved to Los Angeles at 16 to pursue acting as her main focus and never looked back.  

She is best known as ‘Heidi in the film ‘Holidays’ and won a Best 'Actress' award in 2018 from the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival and recently won a YEA 'Best Actress' award for her role as Anabelle in the film short ‘Bloom.’ Savannah has a recurring role as ‘Young Lindsay’ in episodes of ‘Arrested Development.’
